2. Beck wrote an article for Vanity Fair on the 50 best album covers |
|
And "The Flasher" was one of them.

4. Yeah, isn't "The Flasher" something? |
|
I should probably listen to that one - well, all of 'em really. When I lived alone I had planned to wear that funkiness with pride by getting 12" sheets of plexiglas cut and mounting a few dozen of my "just for the covers" albums on this one whopping great empty wall I had, but now that I share a tiny place (fucking Bush economy...), there's just no room to do that. Someday, though...

8. Heh... Do You Know My Jesus? |
|
No, but if you hum a few bars....
Why, no I don't. Do you know my Satan?
I think so. He's that freaky guy bumming change underneath the overpass, right?
Actually, that Orthophonic(TM) recording looks interesting. Is that another fake stereo like Duophonic was?

These were like 50 cents a pop. That's half the beauty of this hobby!

11. I did that once and got a pretty good album . . . |
|
it was the first (perhaps only?) album by a 60s group called Sweetwater . . . I really liked their costumes and figured the music would at least be interesting . . . turns out it was . . .
btw, you should really listen to that Preservation Hall Jazz Band album . . . I think you'll be pleasantly surprised . . . :)

12. Yeah, you're probably right about that album. |
|
Now that I took them out to photograph them, I'll probably have a listening party.
