I'm bummed....

Today my boss got an e-mail that said a guest claimed to have paid cash for an order that was charged to his room.

That, plus the fact that he complained about my service.

I will admit, I did say something that should have just been left alone. On the first night when I asked how he was the guy said, "I lost my ass at Potowatomi" (it's a casino). The next night he called down and, to show that I remembered him, I asked, "Were the able to find your butt?" He said, "What?" and I said, "Well, last night you said you lost it at the casino so I was just wondering if it's been found." He laughed. When I delivered the order he said, "Are you Will?" I said yes. He held out his hand and said, "Hi, I'm Tino." And that was it.

I don't know what the complaint about my service was. And my boss has to go through the checks to find the one in question.

But now I'm bummed out.

3. You couldn't pay me enough

to do service jobs again. Customers are assholes, and they're always right no matter what really happened. Some even delight in getting overworked, underpaid workers in trouble for the least little thing. Been there, done that. You work your ass off and get NOTHING for it, just ungrateful, asshole customers and bosses who treat you like dirt and who always take the customer's side, no matter what, and peanuts for paychecks.

I remember when I lost all respect for Nicole Kidman after reading that she got some minimum wage hotel maid fired because she didn't tuck Kidman's sheets in just so, the way she liked it. What a bitch!
