I thought it was more interesting when he was talking about 9/11, about 27:00 into it, and said, "on that day i was angry and sad, angry ... ", then mutters under his breath "at the time, thought al qaeda". If you were to entertain conspiracy theories, you could preceive that as a slip of the tongue, that required correction to "thought" al Qaeda, instead of "knew" al Qaeda, or even "expected" al Qaeda. Just a diversion...
Other interesting quotes, because they are uncharacteristically true for coming from Bush:
17:51 "it's hard to advance freedom in a country ... strangled by tyranny"
18:20 "it's hard, freedom is not easy to achieve, we have a little trouble in our own country achieving freedom"
24:14 "A country that hides something is a country that is afraid of getting caught." -- Keep in mind Bush Administration policy to not let any information out of the white house unless required by a court order.
30:02 "Well, i think, as I mentioned, uh, you know, its, uh, the country wasn't on war footing, and yet, we're at war, and that's just a reality, Dave." -- A terrorist organization committed an act of war against us (bombing the Cole), and we weren't "on a war footing"?
