Anybody watching MXC - Almost Live?
I think it sucks, compared to other episodes. I hope this is not what the new season is going to be like.

2. It just didn't have the same soul
no Captain, no Guy LaDouche, hardly any mud. They relied on the "a homo says what?" joke too much.

It's good news that they aren't going to change the program. It's a lot funnier when they are naive Japanese contestants, instead of college kids trying to be funny.

4. yeah, the japanese can pull it off while we can't
they have a particular naive sincerity that's absolutely endearing. guess that's why things like Iron Chefs and Hey Hey Hey and other japanese shows can pull off goofy show concepts. somehow they aren't uber extreme angst ridden in your face hyper aggresive americans and that allows goofy pretexts to be somewhat believable and entertaining. the illusion isn't broken, you feel included in the buffoonery. unfortunately american reality TV and goofy shows just are so irritating. somehow the people involved in their creation have no understanding how to pull innocent humor off. and then american contestants are generally annoying, for said reason above.

americans have their endearing points, but there's too many mooks that just get on your last nerve.

3. I wish they had a spinoff with Vic and Kenny just acting stupid.
They're my favourite.

5. I missed the first half
because I was watching Scare Tactics.

But I thought it was okay. It had a lot of physically devastating things happening to people and that's the main draw for me.
