Theories you have that won't exactly change the world
My theory is that most married guys buy and use kleenex to blow their nose, and most single guys just use toilet paper off the roll.

I also suspect more people wave hello or otherwise acknowledge someone if they're walking a dog than if they're pushing a baby stroller.

What're your less-than-profound theories? :D

2. Not a theory, but a question about Murphy's Law
If you are giving a presentation on Murphy's Law, that anything that can go wrong will, and nothing goes wrong during the presentation, have you proven or disproven the theory?

:bounce: The things that keep me up at night ;)

9. Well...
According to Murphy's law, something should go wrong during the presentation, and you prove it to be true. But that would be too convenient, so in fact, Murphy's law says that the presentation will go without a hitch, just to prove you wrong, so the law still holds.

So either way, you prove Murphy's law to be true.
:silly:

12. Murphy's law is an excuse, not a law
Many things don't go wrong. (Many do, but far fewer than go right.)

5. Right-handed pitching more valuable than left handed pitching
Especially in relation to starting pitching. Pitchers generally pitch best against those who are hitting from the same side. RHP better vs. RH hitters, etc. Well, there's a lot more right handed hitters. I realize there are some powerful LH hitters out there, but there's always more plentiful powerful RH hitters.

The whole LH pitching thing is a myth.

6. Two theories:
First, the last Ice Age was caused by greenhouse gases, mostly methane, and the methane mostly originated in mammoth farts. Proof of the theory--the end of the last ice age coincided with the extinction of the mammoth.

I also believe that the various Iron Ranges of the world are actually rusted-down Atlantean junkyards.

14. That would be my Ramones theory
The fact that I can remember the lyrics of all the Ramones songs on the first album, "Leave Home" and "Rocket to Russia", but can't remember a grocery list with more than three things on it. :D

13. My theory is that there is no such thing as a
seedless watermelon. There had to be a seed somewhere for it to grow and there are still some seeds in the seedless watermelon. The round Mexican ones are sweeter than the Charleston long ones.

Whoa boy, kleenex and toilet paper and single guys... And yet you're so innocent with the "blowing their nose" line.

Still, now I have a reason to get a dog, even if I'm allergic to them... I could get a robot dog, but then people would stare... :D
