Poll question: Which Team Is Coming Out Of The NBA's Eastern Conference?
Edited on Mon Apr-26-04 02:20 PM by Magic Rat
Of course, I believe it will be my New Jersey Nets. However, I will say that there is one player who scares me more than any other this postseason.

It's not Ben Wallace.
It's not Rasheed Wallace.
It's not Jermain O'Neal.
It's not Ron Artest.
It's not Reggie Miller.

It's Al Harrington.

He's a scary 6th man and one that has ALWAYS killed the Nets whenever they've played.

I have no doubt that the Nets will thoroughly disparage the Pistons in four or five games. But I'll tell the whole world now - a Nets/Pacers Eastern Conference Finals series will be the most entertaining series of this 2004 postseason.

If any astute basketball fans remember the 2001 season and the opening round matchup between the Nets and Pacers, they'll remember a great one-on-one matchup of O'Neal and Kenyon Martin and more than a dozen or so clutch shots from Reggie Miller and Jason Kidd.

It's going to one hell of a series. I say Jersey in 6 or 7.

What say you?

2. a Minnesota-Indiana series would be fun
Boring, but fun.

A Nets-Minnesota series, now that's basektball!

6. Yup
The Spurs are just too dominant again this year. They've added a potent motion offense to that league-leading defense.

Y'all Lakers need to hurry up with Houston. Of course, if Houston had a decent coach you'd likely be down 1-3 instead of up 3-1.

4. I have to go with Detroit
Too much defense. Rasheed will make the difference.

Out west, the Spurs will take down the Lakers before it's all over.

The Spurs will take down the Lakers before it's all over, but fall to the Kings in the Western Conference Finals.

Detroit vs. Sacramento in the Finals, Kings win 4-3 Rasheed matches up well with Stojakovic, but it won't be enough.

7. Spurs fall to the Kings?
I'm trying to figure out how that could happen. Did the entire team get healthy and learn defense this week?

13. Gotta give it up to the Spurs defense
I know I'm out on a limb, I just think it's the Kings' time. They can outscore; it doesn't work in the playoffs usually.

We'll see! It will be a fun series.

5. Don't really like Indiana.....
but I like 'em better than the other two. Also, my vote created a cool 4-vote, three way tie.

Go Mavs!!!!!!!

10. Indiana
As much as I'd like Miami to win, I expect the Pacers to win that series in 4 or 5.

Detroit should be able to get by New Jersey in the other Eastern Semifinal.

11. I'm not a fan of sports
But there's one guy who always gets me into the game -- Reggie!!

He doesn't have many seasons left, so I want him to get his ring. Ric smitz (sp?) never got the ring, but he deserved it. The Pacers need a win...it would do for much for the city.

Here's to Reggie!
