What sort of mischief have you gotten up to? |
|
My all time fave:
Back in *tha day* (circa 86-87-ish) there was a big thing with beauty salons offering 'Bon Jovi Perms $25.00'...one such place was in the same strip mall as the record store I worked in. They had a sign on the street, y'know, one of those portable thingys, used to have the flowers on the tops of them...So anyway, one evening after closing up the shop I was driving out, spotted the sign, and it occured to me that a letter re-arrangement was in order...
Bon Jovi Sperm $25.00 :D
Second fave: Once, at the Stoned Monkey in Huntington, WVA (you can't make up a name like that, folks :D) whilst drunk and listening to some ghastly local band, I wandered into the Ladies room. Once inside the stall, I noticed a door, cracked open. Of course, I must investigate this...
Well, as luck would have it, said door happened to be some sort of utility closet, containing the breaker box for the whole club...

2. My cousin and I were 14 years old ... and we had a crosscut saw and |
|
... some beer (about ten long necks). It was a warm evening in the rural 'burbs, and we were bored.
So we trekked over to where two gravel roads crossed, and felled trees across three of the four routes out of the intersection. We then sawed mostly through a tree on the fourth. And waited. We didn't wait long. A car passed. We felled the fourth tree.
We then sat back on a nearby hillside and finished our beers, watching the car go back and forth, left and right.
We were proud of ourselves. (Dumb kids.)

5. On that tip, I was on the Grampian Region Fire Prevention Quiz |
|
when I was fourteen. We had a real know-all guy in our team of Scouts, who none of us liked. His name was Alan Miles. Our names were spelled out on that stuff you used to get in hair-dressers and diners where you pop the letters onto a grid. During the break, ALAN MILES became ANAL SLIME. That, and the whole election night grand-theft thing which I've bored you guys with before.

...every year, on the occasion of the first snow, my friends and I would streak.
I liked to make anatomically-correct snow angels.
I know, that wasn't that bad. Not nearly as cool as the amateur lumberjack above.
OH!
There was the time I saw Lou Reed in Cleveland -- my buddy and I were in high school, and we drove up to see Lou. We drank WAY too much beer before and during the show, and really had to pee afterward. Well, the lines to the john were too long....
There were, however, two old-style wood paneled phone booths in the theatre lobby. So, Tom and I walked in and relieved ourselves all over the phone books and receivers and floor and whatnot.
We walked out with a giant pool of urine seeping all over the floor.
Later that evening, while waiting for our ride, we met the man hisself. What did I say, upon meeting my hero?
"My God -- you're so small."

9. We used to unscrew the salt shaker lid and then put it back on the bottle |

That way the whole bottle would pour out when someone wanted to use the salt.
