The best anti-Reagan books - list 'em here! |
|
In honor of the proposed Ronald Reagan University (Home of the "Fightin' Diapers"), here are two great anti-Reagan books:
Haynes Johnson - "Sleepwalking Through History"
Paul Slansky - "The Clothes Have No Emperor" (out of print but worth a hunt)

I don't know how many times we have to let this supply-side bullsh*t destroy our economy before people get that it doesn't work!

I can't think of the authors' name at the moment-but it was a well-resourced indictment of the media's fawning relationship with RR Superstar. We paid a price for it then, and even more so now.

October Surprise by Barbara Henegger
The Praetorian Guard: The US Role In The New World Order John Stockwell -- also deals with the continuity of Reagan to Bush I.
I'd also recommend In Search of Enenmies also by Stockwell, but it focuses on a period of time not strictly associated with Reagan. Stockwell is a former CIA agent, and he was sued over this book and now suggests that anyone who wants to read it do so by checking it out of a library. He apparently does not receive royalties.
