So, thanks for any help with this.

I've found a property in San Fracisco. It's a 9 unit apartment building for 1.2 million. I can come up with 10% down payment and the rents from only 7 units is enough to cover mortgage/insurance/taxes plus extra.

We would use one unit as our personal residence.

Here is the thing. We are on the east coast and don't have a relationship with any west coast bank and I dont think my bank would make us the loan because the property is in SF.

How should I go about finding a lender that would be more likely to make this loan?
What type of rate should we expect considering that it's not just an investment property but will also be (partly) our primary residence?

Any other advice?
