Poll question: What is the most disgusting kind of processed food?
By that I mean just plain; packaged, mass produced and gross.

I know it's "cheese product". But even the words "cheese" and "Velveeta" in the same breath is a blasphemy.

8. Completely Agreed!
Velvetta is far worse than the cheese in a can listed in the poll, because you can't bring it on a car trip, which gives squeeze cheese the advantage.

The stuff is nasty.

It aint that gross. not compared to "Potted Meat PRODUCT"..

23. Try some of the canned corn beef sold on Pacific islands
It's unbelievable...an ingredients list would start with fat as the first ingredient, arteries as the second, etc.

Is it any coincidence that canned corn beef is insanely popular in localities where traditional fare once included 'long pig'? I think not...

15. The original - Maraschino cherry
Sometime in the early 1900s U.S. cherry growers came up with a domestic version of the expensive imported Maraschino cherries. Using brines, chemical baths, bleaches, artificial flavors, sugar syrup and red dyes, a new product was created.

They are banned in our house but our 9 year old son loves them and still manages to find them elsewhere. He still talks about the first (and last) Shirley Temple beverage he ordered at a restaurant last summer.

44. If I won a million dollars, we wouldn't have to eat Kraft Dinner.
But we would eat Kraft Dinner. Of course, we would. We'd just eat more. :)

I can't believe this list! Kraft Dinner {AKA fake macaroni & cheese} is awesome food. And, as a former poor college student, Kraft Dinner is a luxury. If we're talking about crap, the generic white boxed macaroni is disgusting.

The ultimate disgusting processed foods are pickled pigs feet that look like biology experiments on the grocery store shelf and potted meat product {the secret ingredient is heart}.
