Be careful what you wish for.
The purr monster (as predicted) has picked up all sorts of bad habits from the original cat.
He no longer comes when called. He didn't sleep on the bed last night so I had nobody to pet this morning. When I found him in the hall he gave me the typical "whadya you want?" look and wandered off.
Later on he jumped up in the bathroom sink and peed in it. The bathroom still stinks.
I changed the cat litter.

to me when a new cat came into the house. The other one had a mini-breakdown and did all sorts of weird things. Now he's back on the bed as king of the house and the other one's been put in her place after she was 'queen for a day'.

4. I think new cats "kiss up." |
|
When you first get them. Mine did the same thing, actually. She's still sweet, but I think they take you for granted when they know they're "in."
She still kisses up to new people, though. Especially boys. She's SUCH a flirt.
