HOW TO MAKE

Ingredients


1 cup beer
1 fluid ounce amaretto liqueur
1/4 fluid ounce 151 proof rum

Directions
1 Fill a pint glass half full of beer.
2 Pour the amaretto into a standard shot glass. Carefully pour the 151 proof rum on top of the amaretto so that it floats.
3 Carefully light the shot on fire by touching with open flame. Drop the lit shot into the half full glass of beer and slam.

8. In my year-long study of fine, expensive tequilas

I have tried (among others) Bartcop's Chinaco Anejo, Cabo Wabo, and currently Corazon (love the bottle!)

so far my favorite is Rio de la Plata-- so mild and sweet you can hardly tell it's a distilled product. Lovely!

However, the Corazon which is my poison nowadays is quite excellent. The first sip seems a little harsh, but by the third you begin to think that initial impression was just a delusion and this mezcal is mellow indeed. It's superior to the Chinaco and the Cabo, IMO but I still prefer the Rio.

Salud! neat, with a grapefruit slice as a chaser. Yum!
