Please explain this bumper sticker: Too close for missiles; |
|
use a gun.
I'm sure I hate the emotion, but I haven't got a clue about it. Saw it on my way home from work on a new, shiny, black Lexus ES300 (same car as my hubby, that's how I know).

there is a minimum range for firing a missile. (Usually inside a mile) When inside this range, you must switch to cannons (guns)
I'm not REALLY a pilot, I just play one online ;) (Unabashed flight-sim junkie!)
Methinks this fellow is suffering from a wee bit of road rage. My suggestion to him would be "Switch to decaf"

One of the lines in the movie, during one of the exercise dogfights, has Tom Cruise (Maverick) tell Goose "Too close for missiles, switching to guns!" with a close up of his thumb flipping the switch to do exactly that.

9. Speaking of Top Gun, help me ID the film in which Q. Tarantino.. |

....plays a guy at a party. he is ranting to a couple of party-goers, I think in the kitchen of some house, about the homosexual subtext between Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer. It's a riot, but I can't remember where it came from...

7. Refer(s) to Israeli Executive Actions? |

i.e. the recent elimination of Hamas Officials by helicopter/jet delivered missles? Just a possibility. That is the only thing that it calls to mind.
