Can you feel the bass from my new speakers from there? |
|
I just picked up these massive, massive speaker cabinets at a garage sale yesterday... Both channels have a 12" big speaker and a couple of smaller ones. The guy who sold them to me said he used to make custom cabs, so I'm assuming that they're a combination of really good stuff :D
The air in my dorm room is literally vibrating.
So... can you feel the bass from where you're sitting? No, that's not an earthquake you're feeling.

who's speakers' bass is SOOOOO deep and sooooo loud that it vibrates my windows and crystal. Not to mention that it makes my left ear rattle from when I burst it in childhood. I have a hole in my ear drum, therefore, when subjected to veeeerrrry deep and loud bass sounds, it rattles. (BTW, his house is about 500 yards from mine)
Know what happens when my ear drum rattles? I get suicidal. I have to leave my house or the proximity to the noise.
I've had to do that at 9 pm at night.
Soooo... be nice to your neighbors and take their personal little issues into consideration. See, they might LIKE you and not want to hurt your feelings by asking you to be considerate. But that doesn't mean your speakers and music doesn't bother them.

and honestly, I only had it that loud for a minute to test it out... I figure I'd do it at 1:30 in the afternoon when most people are at class. They sound great soft too :-)
As for you, you could always go up the power pole with some rubber-coated hedge clippers... sorry about your ear, mon. That guy gives the rest of the bass-heads a bad name

7. no, that would be the guy in the room next to me |

whose speakers go louder and deeper than mine. I got the new ones so I could give him a taste of his own medicine... but all he says is "woah, killer setup man."
