The thing that made me cry last night? Not the war, not the recession, not the cutting of social programs, but the massive halt that is brought to stem cell research by BushCo. Because that one hits home right now... how much closer could we be to curing diabetes in 4 years, were the research not blocked? California voted to allow it and fund it, though. Go CA :)

But it's up in the air what direction I will take any of this. Certainly, I cannot abandon my fellow travelers for times of mutual support.

But I do question whether I have anything meaningful to contribute anymore. I applaud those of us who do, and cut endless slack to those who choose to withdraw. We have all given plenty of blood, tears, and toil. We all should know our limitations as well as our potential.
