For some reason, they think they might catch gay germs. Probably because deep down, they can't deal with their own sexual impulses. Hell, I'm a hetero female, but I think Annie Lenox is hot. I can admit that and not question my sexual orientation. Some people can't do that and the fear gets them. People hate being afraid, and the flip side of fear is anger and hatred toward the person or people you are afraid of.

The point is Rove co-ordinated 11 state legislatures to put anti-gay measures on the Nov. 2 ballot with the intention of bring out the envangelicals & anti-gay vote.

In addition, just the mechanations of getting the measures on the ballots created interest among evangelicals & anti-gays. Also, among those same states, there are a few the Dem.s might have been competitive. This effectively shrank the field for the Dem.s. and impacted a few Congressional races.

The Dem. Party needs to figure out what to do about this NOW.
