Can someone simplify this anti-Bush t-shirt for me?
I'm making some Bush shirts. I feel everyone should custom make their own shirts that expresses how THEY FEEL, don't let someone else do it for you. Heres one of mine, but I feel its way too long. How can I edit but still get my point across.

The front of the shirt has Bush in the classroom reading 'My Pet Goat'. Under the pic it says, "What kind of leader hides in a classroom full of children while the country is being attacked?" On the back of the shirt it reads as follows:

Coward
War Criminal
Terrorist
Liar
Murderer
Religious fanatic
Not My President

I know its a bit much, but its bound to anger those who voted for Bush (which is my point) any idea how I can tone it down yet still keep the message alive?

1. Your idea
reminds me of the old Nirvana T-shirts - I think you should leave it just like you have it. It gets the point across and maybe even through the thick skulls of some Repukes.

2. Ted Rall came up with a good descriptor of Bush:
"Geocidal Maniac"

I think it pretty well sums it all up.

3. make it a multiple choice
or something...

check boxes next to each one, and then have the "not my president" in bigger words across the bottom:

+ Coward
+ War Criminal
+ Terrorist
+ Liar
+ Murderer
+ Religious fanatic

NOT MY PRESIDENT

eh?

4. You could simplify the front to just read "Leader?"
Or "Presidential material?"

6. good message overall
but its a bit wordy and the front doesn't seem to associate directly with the back...

why not break it up into two shirt? one with the "My Pet Goat" picture and the comment about reading to kids during the attack (maybe on the back).

And the other one with something like "51% is NOT a mandate" on the front and your list on the back.

8. I think they are great
and it is a great idea! I just hope you are safe wearing them. I am going to have some bumper stickers made up, (anyone know where I can do this? I thought I could do it on my computer but I can't find the right paper)

I posted this before but my idea is something like this:

If you are Pro-War and Pro-Death Penalty
You are NOT Pro-Life

Or just: If You are Pro-War you are NOT Pro-Life

Here are some ideas off the top of my head for the back of your shirt: Remember the 68%(something like that) of supporters of Bush still believe that Iraq had something to do with 9/11

Bush attacked an UNARMED country
IRAQ is NOT the TALIBAN
IRAQ did NOT attack the US
IRAQ had nothing to do with 9/11
100,000 innocent civilians DEAD, 40,000 children DEAD 1,000 US soldiers DEAD. Is Bush Pro-Life?

We need to start our fight NOW. The right wing started 4 years ago, (I am unfortunately realizing only now)

11. I like this one the best
This one is the most impactful:

100,000 innocent civilians DEAD
40,000 children DEAD
1,000 US soldiers DEAD

Is Bush Pro-Life?

(I'm not sure where you got the 40,000 children stat.....also, does the 100,000 stat refer to civilians only? Not sure if I heard that specified in that report.)

16. Links to death toll
Do a GOOGLE search with death + toll + Iraq + children. The first two links I did without “children” in the search.

Here are some links:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/3962969.stm

http://www.newscientist.com/news/news.jsp?id=ns99996596

This one mentions the children

http://www.commondreams.org/views03/0214-03.htm

Daponte, a Middle East analyst, was assigned to come up with an estimate. She estimated that a total of 158,000 Iraqis were killed, with only 40,000 of them being soldiers in battle. The far greater death toll came afterward; Daponte estimated that 70,000 Iraqis died through easily preventable diseases that were suddenly made lingering and lethal by the bombing by the United States and its allies of water and power supplies, sewage systems, and roads.

Of the estimated 158,000 deaths, Daponte concluded that nearly 40,000 of the victims were women and 32,000 were children.

14. How 'bout a "sucker punch" T-shirt???
On one side, you can have a blue dress with a, blemish let's say, on its surface. And then an image of the Towers in flames on the back(*), or maybe an image or collage communicating the clusterfxxk that is Iraq. A winger would give you a thumbs-up if they were to see the front first, at which point you could shoot back w/ a pirouette.

(*) Too controversial, in my opinion.
