3. Is it a lighter
in the shape of a hand flipping the bird, that when you light it, it says, "Fuck you! Fuck you!" ??

'Cause I got one of those last year, and it still lights, and it still says "fuck you! fuck you!" Best $10 I ever spent on Ebay.

4. As a seller on Ebay I'm glad to hear it!
And BTW Ebay gave more to dems than pukes.

7. I was nervous the first time
ahhaaahaaa,,,ok that sounds a little funny, but seriously I didn't know what to expect.

So I bought a paper doll book of Dennis Rodman. with lots of pretty and daring clothes for him to wear.

Its a scream and a half!

I never buy anything without seeing what it's selling for on ebay, if I can help it. My addiction is winding down now, though. It was bad for awhile there!

I sell there too, which isn't nearly as fun. :(

on edit--forgot a question... are you already scoping out your next buy?

10. no
i will likely not go back until i have another emergency. the only things i buy regularly are books - i don't normally buy novelty items, which i guess are the ebay specialty

9. Just remember this about eBay:
They make their money from the sellers. That's where they're allegiance lies. Don't expect eBay to even think about supporting the buyer in the average dispute.

Caveat emptor.

That said, good for you. Learn to use it, and you can reduce your contribution to the inflated economy, and still get what you want/need. I just bought a pda which suits my needs and cost several hundred dollars only 18 months ago, for $50.

One other tip: watch auctions for the item you are looking for..see how a half dozen or so of them end, in order to get an idea of market value. then use that info to guide your bidding. the longer you can wait and watch, the better you get to understand the market, and the higher the likelihood that you'll be happy with the value of your purchase.

11. I disagree...
I work part time for an ebay seller, and he is always having to deal with the frauds. I've never seen so much fraud in all my life as I have the past 4-6 months.. it's bad. And ebay does little to nothing to help him, a power seller for 5 years. Yet, he's been shut down a few times, for very old complaints that have been resolved, yet they screw up thier end of the paperwork and he has to redo it all over again so they let him back on. It's a nightmare. I don't mind buying on there once in awhile, but selling, gosh, I prefer not doing that end of it. I guess people can see it from both ends and know it's never going to be "perfect".

And congrats on your purchase! I know when I do get on there to buy.. I get all nervous and excited... my heart starts beating like crazy, and I sit here, hitting the refresh button over & over again, for the last 5 minutes of the bidding! LOL. Not really a good thing, when you end up spending more than you wanted to, but you just really really had to have it!!
