Confession: My family is personally responsible for peak oil |
|
I took a look around today, and I realized we own every piece of plastic toy shit it's possible to own. And I'm not talking little Playmobil crap either...the big stuff. Anyone else have their own toy store at home?

2. nah, Plastic doesn't need that much oil |
|
In fact plastic would still produce a profit long after peak oil - even harvesting oil slate is efficient for plastics.
And continue buying Playmobil ;-)

3. plastic was the waste of oil at one point... |
|
and oil is still more valuable on the world market than plastic. we don't harvest oil for plastic, but for oil's own sake. plastic is now just a profitable processed by-product.
now if you sat there surrounded by barrels of oil lit aflame in the open; or if you operated your own oil energy plant with outdated efficiency measures, then yes, you would be responsible.
