STOP USING RIGHT-WING SOURCES!!!!!
GAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

I've had it! I'm sick of looking in the forums here and seeing citations from Newsmax, Drudge, and Fox. When are you people going to figure out that (a) most of that shit is propaganda and (b) all of it is skewed toward the right-wing drones who just want to hear about how evil leeeeebruls are.

Yet, every day, someone feels the need to post something from Newsmax, or Drudge, or whatever.

There is an enormous links section on DU that goes to many, many, news sites. Hell, even mainstream media (CNN, NYT, whatever) would be better. By going to these right-wing-whacknut sites all you are doing is making their hit counter go up and giving them free publicity.

Since I'm sure there will be plenty who will start whining about me being a thread fascist or something, please go ahead and do so. It's funny.

2. It's FASH...Um....FISH....Um....
Ah, hell...it's not a bad thing to post a message using a right wing source as long as it is made clear that it is not a true 'news' story but a right wing corruption of a 'true' news story.

Know thy enemy. I can't stand going to those sites myself, but I do like knowing what they are up to.

5. I agree
I think that the only thing to be gotten from a right wing "news" source is annoyance. :puke: I getplenty of that without looking for it. If we want to know what the right wingers are thinking, and I use thinking VERY loosely, the "mainstream media will be only to happy to let us know.

I beleive that citing them, even to show how full of s*** they are, only further "legitamizes them. Good people disagree with me. That's ok. It's still a (relatively) free country.

10. Not everything RW is wrong.
Just as not everything that is LW is right. If the story covered is important, and the information presented is acceptably accurate adn factual then there is nothing wrong with using RW sources.

Hell, even if it is inaccurate and a lie there isn't any harm. We need to know what they are saying. If we ignore their propaganda then we can't fight against it can we?

13. They're not...
going to listen to you.

The candidate cultists will use anything they can to bash the rest of the crowd.

The disrupters and fifth columnists are doing this deliberately and laughing their asses off.

The assholes will remain assholes.

There's always a few who think they are doing the right thing. And sometimes, maybe they are.
