2. Wonderful day so far.

In the first place, it's my BD. So I got that going for me. I'll take off work a little early and have a big pizza party at a local restaurant. Then home for a little bourbon sipping and card playing.

If that wasn't good enough, I just got back from the county tax assessors office. I'm getting two years worth of homeowner's tax exemptions back. Almost $1200.

So yes. It's been a great day so far.

I didn't see him, but I was at that very same office. The Cook County Tax Assessor's Office that's located on the 3rd Floor at City Hall. It didn't register with me at the time.

Guess I was on a Mission from God and I didn't even realize it.

8. Ehh...I severely hurt some muscles in my neck and shoulder this morning...

So I've had to teach all day trying to hold in the streams of obscenity that want to come out of my mouth every time I move. Of course, dancing around to hi-octane instrumental sax tunes from the 50s with 3 and 4 year olds probably doesn't help matters. Doesn't seem to hurt as much when I do that, though. :)

My boss is on my ass about work deadlines. Blah.

Found out just now that my best friend is too sick to go do anything with me this weekend to celebrate my impending birthday (on Monday). :-(

The other best friend can't come down for the rally (and my birthday) this weekend because his car is in the shop.

Everyone else I want to see for my birthday is at least 1000 miles away.

10. I had a bus turn around and come back and get me today

On my way to the bus stop, I found a heads up penny. I picked it up. Softball game tonight, mega millions drawing, lots of things I need luck for.

The bus is at the stop, just as I reach it, the driver closes the doors and pulls away. I yelled, Hey!

Bus kept going. I was about to throw the penny away.

Just then the dispatcher came up behind me, said he saw the whole thing and ordered the bus to turn around and pick me up.

Isn't that amazing.

I chose the "someone shoot me option". :P Between the celeb deaths and having a blow up on the phone with my sister, I'm about done for the day. The only thing keeping me going is knowing tonight I'm going to see Underworld with a bunch of my nerdy friends and running a huge D&D adventure tomorrow starring the coolest fantasy race ever, the Drow. :)

Its ok, there was a thread I saw that really pissed me off and then people misintepreted what I said and I got bashed, other than that well ok, a friend is coming over sometime soon, and I will meet some of his friends who I dont know. :shrug: I guess that is what happens when you have different friends. So I am ok, a little aggrevated but good.

Friend of mine just got fired today for "attendance problems": translation, a single parent of 3 with 6 tardies in a calendar year. 10 years of loyalty, shot in the foot.

My last boss, a good guy, found out today he has likely got diabetes.

The ex called the kids this afternoon to tell them she's showing up next weekend. Now I have to hear about this all THIS weekend from the wife who only hates her a little less than I do.

Now I have a migraine that feels like blood is dripping out my ears.

Skip the gun, just loan me a necktie or a strong piece of sashcord and a chair to stand on.
