Does anyone have a cat who watches TV? |
|
My mother's cat watches TV alot. She really loves those videos for cats with birds, mice, fish and stuff in them. She also watches various shows, including Law and Order.

2. I used to have one that sat on top and watched by looking down |
|
Usually moving things on tv made her do this. Say like birds in flight, or fish.:silly:

Yeah, I had a cat who used to like watching tv, and was especially into the ones for cats. those are like an orgy of mice, birds, etc. It's interesting that they like watching the tube.

4. did your cat attack the screen? |
|
I have seen that happen. It is too much for them to bear seeing all those mice and birds wandering around.

6. Recent studies indicate the ones who "watch" TV |
|
are less perceptive than normal. I searched for the link, but it has been removed.
The jist of it is that a normal cat's brain processes visual data so fast that the refresh rate of the TV cannot produce an image to them.
When the cat's perception is diminished below normal levels, they see the image and interact with it.
I saw it on ABC, but didn't find any other related web links. It makes sense though, because domestication alters the brain in all animals.
Cheers!

9. He doesn't watch TV but... |
|
the power strip controlling my entertainment center is behind the cabinet itself. He frequently turns off the strip, especially when Fox News is accidently tuned into. :)
Then he runs into the center of the living room, flops down on the floor, flips around from side to side and acts like a clown.
Strange cat, our Snowflake.
