Our Nokia phone just got soggy |
|
It fell in the dog dish full of water and was in maybe a minute or two. It didn't work immediately after taking it out, which I hardly expected,
I have the hair dryer on it now.
Is the phone toast?

remove the battery and use the dryer. Let it dry with the dial pad down for 1 or 2 days. Put the battery back on, and try it... perhaps it will work. Good luck in any case. :hi:

2. If you have some distilled water rinse it in that now |
|
then dry it. The minerals in the tap water, and salt from it's saliva, is what causes the short circuit and corrosion. If you don't have that water on hand NOW, just let it dry and hope for the best. BTDT.

3. I think cell phone PCBA's are conformally coated to help |
|
weatherproof them.
I suspect that it will work OK when dried out
