I have 47 posts to 5000 and my b'day (coincidentally my 47th) is Saturday |
|
Go ahead -- ask me anything...but don't expect an answer 'til noon. It's almost 4 am here in Saginaw. John And 28 degrees to boot.

Is 100 miles NNW of Detroit. Hold your right hand palm up (many DUers have done this before). Saginaw is located right at the web where your thumb and forefinger meet. John Serena Williams and Stevie Wonder were both born here. So was I. But Lefty Frizzell wasn't.

6. All my GD ancestors are dead |
|
Mom (4GD) died in 1994. Dad, a low-tax, good gov Repub, passed on in 1989. Grandpa G (3GD) died in 1967 and Grandma G (other 3GD) died in 1988. GreatGrandpa E (2GD) passed on in 1929. And G2Grandpa G (1GD), a Civil War vet (CSA), taken prisoner of war at the battle of Fort Donelson in 1862, died in 1910 as the oldest Presbyterian minister in the state of Kentucky. All my sibs are Dems and all are doing well. I have fourteen nieces and nephews (6GD) and four great nieces and nephews (7GD). John Actually, it's more likely I am a seventh-generation Dem. My family almost certainly voted for Andy Jackson himself in 1832.

8. Well, I'll be in Detroit -- my favorite city in the world |
|
And visiting with MSchreader, a good friend since college, AND socializing with a few DUers over dinner -- so I suspect I will. Thank you for the warm regards, Prof. John Incidentally, I have an annual party here in Saginaw every June called FUNDAY, which is now 260 days, 22 hours and 25 minutes away. All DUers are invited -- ask around for reviews.

If it gets here in the mail today or tomorrow, I guess dinner Saturday night at Mama Mia's is on me. John Coincidentally, I have an envelope here with Ed McMahon's face on it which says "YOU MAY ALREADY OWE US TEN MILLION DOLLARS!" But I'm certain that's not the same letter you're talking about.
