rest of my life, I don't think that's very funny. Those pills have been a godsend, and I don't appreciate the stigma that this is perpetuating. Depression is a REAL medical illness, and I get tired of having to explain that to people who think it's just a matter of "pulling yourself up" and "cheering up."

As someone who has suffered with depression for my entire life I do in fact have some clue as to what it entails and what these drugs do. I get very tired of people having little or no simpathy but you know what I can laugh at myself and my condition.
I'm sorry you can't do the same.
It was joke. If it wasn't funny, it's still a joke.

reason it wasn't funny to me is that a lot of people who've never had to deal with depression or any other type of mental illness still have a lot of misperceptions and stigmas about it and things like this just perpetuate the stereotypes.
