Anyone attend the University of Miami?
I'm thinking of going to grad school at the U, but I'm worried about finding a decent place to live. Anyone have any tips on/links to places to live near campus? Or maybe if you can give me an idea of what it's like there--I'd be moving from Tallahassee.

Sorry for pumping the lounge for grad school info yet again, but this is the only site with people I trust.:)

1. Me
It's an awesome school in an awesome city. The area around the campus has plenty of reasonably cheap apartments and plenty to do. BUT do yourself a favor, live near the campus, US1 has brutal traffic.

BTW: Moving from Seminole to Hurricane land Huh?

2. It's possible!
I'm also considering going to Oklahoma. It would be really, really weird to go from hating the 'canes to *gasp* becoming one!

So can you drop a few names of places close enough for me to walk? It would really help me out!

3. There are plenty of affordable rentals in Coral Gables and South Miami
You might also be able to share a house with other students in Coconut Grove, which is a party hot spot. All those I mentioned are in the surrounding area of campus.
Traffic is brutal here so don't live too from campus.

4. If you don't have a car
Try to live close to a metrorail station, which will also take you to campus.
