The "combat 'stache" is history, as are my flying days. Substitute the helicopter for a desk, and that is what I fly now.

Not nearly as aerobatic, not good gas mileage, but I'm home every day. So I can't complain.

He was an Appendix QH. It was very difficult to sell him, but I had no other choice.

He was quite a complex personality - not incredibly friendly, but oh did he get jealous if I was around other horses! It took a while to get to know him really well. I'd always thought of him as an intellectual, quite possibly a chain smoking writer in Paris in the 1920's. How's that for a description? lol

A friend from that barn had an Oldenburg gelding. She got him fairly cheaply because he was the runt of twins. She did well, as he was not only a doll, but had a huge scopey jump. What a little tiger he was.

I would love to have another horse. They are wonderful! Do you show?

He sounds like he is quite the man! Is he a stallion? There are 2 stallions at the farm whre my filly resides. They are TBs. One is Secretariat's nephew and great grandson!

Those A-QH are wonderful! They need that "sense of self" to show well! Those guys are just da bomb! I've ridden several appendixes and there's 2 at the farm where my filly lives! They are also both Paints! The gelding is a chesnut w/ a stripe and the baby foal has a tri-color paint coat! The gelding's in training now.

I've shown in the past. I showed TBs and Selle Francais and Appendixes in the Adult Hunter Equitation classes. My filly will be 2 in May. I want to teach her to drive. I just need to buy a harness and a cart. $$$$$$$$! I can't ride her until she's 4. The Oldenburgs need about 4 years to mature so that their joints and bones are all fully developed. My filly is has both Northern Dancer and Native Dancer bloodlines on her dam's side and Cor de la Bryere bloodlines on her sire's side.
