2. I'm from central NY, the snow capitol of the country.
Snow is totally expected in March here, right until the end, and even into April. We get hundreds of inches of snow per year. I know, you're jealous! Hey, you can come live in this wonderful place anytime you want!!

5. There was a blizzard in the middle of March 1993
here in North Georgia. So I don't consider winter over yet until April 1.

6. and I'm still a displaced Southerner
after 36 years in New York State my Southern blood still hasn't adjusted to Winter :grr: in the North.

For some darned reason or another every time I start to relocate back to the South - it never happens. I'm beginning to believe that there must a good reason why I'm still living up here where Springtime is way too short.

In New York it seems to go straight from winter coats to tee-shirts.

10. In Minnesota, March has always statistically been the snowiest month.
Wisconsin probably isn't much different.

11. Well, I can't comment on persistent snow, but some of the worst snow
storms I've seen have been in March. Worst in relation to the rest of that particular years Winter, that is.
