Anyone have any cool suggestions for a bright 9 year old who actually wants to see monuments ? Thanks fellow DU'ers.

2. See The Wall and Arlington National Cemetary. |
|
See the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns. Both are impressive, yet humbling.

has been done over BUT you have to get advance tickets. Order them now - don't wait until you get there or you won't be able to get any.

5. That sounds like such fun |

You may consider Manassas as well - quite close and a very well preserved battlefield.
I miss having young kids - I always felt so stimulated intellectually by my kids. They're so curious and they're just absorbing so much. Have a great time. :hi:
