Now on PBS - Old-Timers singing original 50's songs |
|
Edited on Fri Mar-04-05 11:35 PM by Seabiscuit
The Crewcuts ("Sh-Boom") The Four Aces ("Three Coins In A Fountain", "Love Is A Many Splendored Thing"), Patti Paige ("Tennessee Waltz"), Phyllis McGuire of the McGuire sisters, etc., etc. singing live their original hits from the 50's.
Sure, they've aged, but I just can't believe how good their voices all still sound.
Wow!
For any of you old farts out there like me that grew up on this stuff, tune in, you'll love it!
N.B.: Nick Clooney, Rosemary Clooney's brother was just talking and I just learned that Nick is actor George Clooney's father and Rosemary was his aunt.

3. Yes, saw Andy Williams singing with... |
|
Simon and Garfunkle -- they sang Scarborough Fair. It was great. Then Andy Williams sang with Julie Andrews..... This is more my parents generation but I sort of remember the Andy Williams show. It's just PBS doing their pledge break thingy.
