Devil's Den
Where the water runs up hill, there are no insects, there is no movement of air. I bet even hurricane winds dare not enter there.

You come in off Cowpens Bay, cross Harbour River and leave the world behind as Devil's Den embraces you, invites you, welcomes you to Hell. I always felt like that upon entering Devil's Den. I did not go there often, just when I needed to catch some crabs, make some money. Entering the Den one looks at a fairly wide salt water creek. One has the illusion of looking uphill, the boat seems to slow with the effort of climbing the hill that cannot be there. Further up the creek branches into a "Y". I fished both "Ys" now and then. It is quiet up there in the far reaches of Devil's Den, quiet like Death.
