Poll question: How many of you know who or what my Avatar is?
I'm just curious.

Maybe I'll post the pic in full size later.

6. I don't think he'd need a mask.
You are correct, though. It looks like a goalie mask most fearsome. :D

4. Is it a Minor League Hockey Team
in the Norfolk area?

And, are you a fan? Minor league hockey is the best. I became a fan walking to see the old New Haven Nighthawks.

11. We have the Admirals...
in Norfolk Va... About 5 years ago, we almost got an NHL team, the Rhinos, but as every pro team offer does, it fell through... Unless you are talking about a different Norfolk...

15. No, it *was* the NHL Rhinos I Was Thinking of
My parents live in Chesapeake VA, and it must have been on some billboards a couple years ago. But obviously I don't follow it very closely.

18. Its okay...
We have lost every bid for a pro sport team that we have made... MLB,NHL,NBA all have had teams look here, and every time it is the same...

21. I rarely get to see minor league hockey.
We don't have a minor league team nearby to root for, and they only televise them about twice a season. I enjoy the games I've watched but I hardly get the privilege.

We do get college hockey, but it's just not the same.

8. Cerebus
I hope I spelled that right.

The author of that comic is a self-aggrandizing prick... but it was a pretty good series. (Over-rated, but still okay.)

17. What's with the hockey, though?
I only read a few issues way, way back.

He was pope for a while.

23. Last I read he went to the moon.
His throne launched into space and landed on the moon, where he had a talk with some know-it-all. Then the series got a little strange, and I couldn't quite follow it. Great artwork, though.

24. Did it ever go color?
Cerebus was actually a pioneer in the B&W field long, long before other B&Ws took off in the golden age of comic independents.

I always wanted to read the whole series. maybe I'll try again...

14. It's from the movie Animalympics, isn't it?
I love that scene, when the Canadians are playing the Russians, and there's bombs bursting in the background and someone is playing a harmonica for a wounded hockey player...
