The nicest people I ever met were Southern and probably redneck
to boot. So, if you're a liberal redneck, I will like you, for sure ! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehawww. Just don't force me to listen too long to country, please. And I won't turn on my old school disco, either.

1. Yep...Living in the south, I've met some real ....
...nice down-to-earth folks here. It a shame that they (and I) have to share the same space with the shitty ones......

3. yep. Southerners, the real ones like you and I, are so nice
unless we are provoked somehow. It's a damn shame some are Repukes and some of the true Southerners are "idiots".

16. It's a damn shame for sure
I wish they'd all just fall off the planet so I could enjoy my South more.

Yes, people of other regions, we're not all horrible, bible-thumping, scripture shouting, raving lunatics.

Y'all come visit. I'll make you one of my famous pecan (pee-can) pies. :)

2. The bluest skies I've ever seen were in Seattle.
The hills, the greenest green in Seattle.

10. Your thread topic reminded me of the song from the series
Here Comes the Brides - that's all.

The bluest sky you've ever seen, in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green, in Seattle
Like a beautiful child
Growing up, free and wild
Full of hopes and full of fears
Full of laughter, full of tears
Full of dreams to last the years
In Seattle

When you find your own true love, you will know it
By his smile, by the look in his eyes
Scent of pine trees in the air
(Line missing)
Look out everyone, here come the brides

5. Thanks, I definitely qualify as a bad ass liberal redneck
NASCAR loving, country music playing, beer guzzling, fried food eating fool. For the record, I'm a bush hater and think conservatives are fascist hypocrites. Do I need therapy? Also for any lurkers out there, I served 24 years so I'm a bad ass liberal redneck who happens to have served proudly. Go ahead, tell me I hate America.

Steve, if you have the opportunity, take a listen to the Dixie Chicks CD, HOME. Classics like White Trash Wedding -

"I shouldn't be wearing white and you can't afford no ring."

7. I Have Really Enjoyed Living In The Country
truly. My Jeep had a flat tire and it was parked in the driveway. Our next door neighbor came over with the tools to change the tire and knocked on the door. We had only known them for maybe two weeks. I was shocked. Growing up in the city on the west coast I was waiting for the other boot to drop so to speak(it sounds terrible but true). He changed the tire, shook my hand, and told me to ask for anything if my husband and I needed the help. We have great neighbors. Great people around us. Truly honest and good people who would help if you needed it. When my husband goes out of town, they take the trash can to the curb for me. LOL. Without asking. Its like a different world. :)

17. Ohio
We have lived in southern Ohio near Kentucky, and in a small town called Circleville about 45 minutes from central Ohio, and in Columbus. Its always been so nice to be here. We have really enjoyed the people. I know many have a bad taste in their mouth about people in this state. But we haven't really had any issues with anyone. Liberal or conservative. :)

18. I lived in Fayetteville in the early 70's
That was an extremely cool town back then. I haven't been back much since, but I know its like another planet compared to Little Rock.
