Let's see if I've got this right... |
|
Edited on Wed Mar-09-05 02:39 AM by Dave Reynolds
If something comes into my yard I don't like:
1. I should shoot it. 2. I should make a coat out of it. 3. I should berate it for going against the orthodoxy. 4. I should disrupt it's thread. 5. I should yell "in my pants" at it. 6. I should have it on the top of my head.
I'm sure I must be forgetting something, though....

One more thing about my yard:
I can accuse it of being in a clique!:silly:

and a speedy recovery.
Someday if I ever bank any time off, I need to get my carpal tunnel (both sides) taken care of.

If someone comes into your house and tries to steal your TV, you can shoot him and you are legally defending your property. If a foreigner rings your door bell on Halloween and you are scared, you can also shoot him. If you are a woman who is being raped, and you shoot the rapist, you are charged with murder. So under American law, a man can defend his television set but I can't defend my body. Will someone explain that to me?

10. It's a sad time we live in, |
|
but I would happily give up my crappy TV to anybody who wants to break in for it.
Unfortunately, women may have less control over their bodies in the future.

18. I never could understand land having more rights than people. |
|
Oh well I grew up in a Republican home in the 30's and 40's and we thought owning property was a good thing and human rights were also. Sorry I must have learned wrong. Now people fell good to shoot some one if they walk on your land. If it is an animal kill it and if it is your land take it to use the stuff on it to make money.

I like the question "What happens to Chick tracts after they are handed out?"
My answer didn't match theirs, oddly enough.

1. Observe it 2. Learn from it. 3. Assess the impact it may have on your yard. 4. Consider your options 5. Think about the consequences of acting upon those options 6. Act, or don't act, based on 1 thru 5.
