Immolation in Toronto.
Some guy in a rental van has a standoff with police near the provinicial parliament building for about an hour, then sets himself on fire. A detailed story (and video for the rubberneckers in the house) can be found here.

This happens just a few days after some guy tosses his 5 year old daughter from a highway overpass then jumps himself. What a strange week here in Hogtown.

4. not just Cabbagetown -- the whole country ...
Those Mounties being massacred -- and a couple of days ago, a gas station attendant in Vancouver was dragged to death after being run over when someone refused to pay for <$20 of gas.
