The words of an obsessed fan
when Michael jackson's trial becomes the holocaust, by Justy387:

First They Came for the Jews by Pastor Martin Niemöller

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

This poem is very fitting. In the past, we were too afraid to come out and save "undesirables" because we felt they were not worthy of being saved. We thought that we need not worry about the others getting victimized by the state, because "we" are still safe. What happened? In the end, even the author of this poem was abused by the system. Nobody that the author felt that he was worthy of saving was around!! I see the same pattern. Jackson is unique. He doesn't care that he doesn't fit into a neat place in society. However, everyone else including progressives are treating Jackson as sub-human. No matter that he has done tremendous charity work. No matter that he has provided love to other "undesirables" in society including cancer patients. Because Jackson is different, we are willing to let him be victimized by the over-zealous government. The case against Mr. Jackson is as weak as any that I have ever seen. That does not matter. Mr. Jackson is the new punching bag of society.

Nobody is willing to stand up for him.

5. there was a fan on TV who quit his job...
to attend the trial...or stand outside, that is. Can you imagine? I mean, I'm a big fan of certain celebrities...Olivia Newton-John, for example....but there WOULD come a time when I would have to stop defending her. I do not worship her unconditionally. Once she had surgery to transform herself into a black man, I'd be like, "I'm out."
