Dishwasher, just don't have heat on the drying mode. (Usually, I just take them out before it dries them.
Otherwise, rubbing alcohol and a lint free cloth - just be careful not to rub the alcohol in too hard or use too much.

You can get them in any computer or office supply store. Also, I've used plain ol isopropyl (sp?) alcohol and a soft cloth to clean DVDs and have had success.
If scratches are your problem you might want to try repair kits but they don't always work. As far as consoles, several companies have drive cleaning kits. Check your local Gamestop.

CD's are made of plastic. Be careful you don't scratch them.
