My answer? Yes, please.

3. Have you seen them live?
I saw them open for the Violent Femmes in December. They were 'ok'... but I was there to see the headliner, so I was anxious for them to STFU.

4. I'm not a huge fan.
Although they are pretty to look at, their music doesn't do a whole lot for me. Believe me, I'll be listening to other music next week instead.

5. I like their 'tude.

They are loads of fun.

Maya F. is my favorite. She looks as if she'd just as soon kick your ass as look at you.

6. are you gonna be SXSW'ing?
Man, if so, I am envious. I used to love going to that. Its become a madhouse, but its still worth the effort. How much is a wristband?

8. Yeah, I'll be SXSWing!
Wristbands were $110 for the first 2000, $130 for the next 2000 and $150 for everyone else. :hurts: I remember when they hit $50.

It's still worth it though. It's like a vacation in your home town!

11. The one band that, if I do not see there will be hell to pay: Son Volt.
A friend of mine puts out an Excel Spreadsheet of all the good stuff. There will be a planning session Sunday evening over margaritas. :D

14. I'd love to see the revamped Son Volt
I saw them years ago at the Liberty Lunch (R.I.P.) and it was a great time. We had to leave early cuz a friend I was with got a call that his dad died so that has always left a mark.

Go see the Cracker/Camper Van Beethoven duo if you can - Emos and Jovita's. Nice anti-Bush statements and songs are certain.

Please post reports!

It was AWESOME!

I'm sad that Jay and the Boquists counld't come to an agreement, but the new line-up is nice, too!

22. Unbelievable.
I remember when they were $10.

What a load of commercialized bullshit. I hate what's happened to Austin.

41. Sounds like the female AC/DC, but sloppier
There are better all-female punk-rock bands, IMHO, like the Slits. Give me Ari Up over any Donna any day!

45. That's an excellent description!
And all of theor original songs sounded exactly the same. In addition, they are not great on stage at all, very little 'show'.

Because I've slept with all of them. But not all of them at once. Two of them at once, yes....but not all.

Oh, Donna, Oh, Donna
Oh, Donna, Oh, Donna

I had a girl
Donna was her name
Since she left me
I've never been the same
'cause I love my girl
Donna, where can you be? Where can you be?

Now that you're gone
I'm left all alone
All by myself
To wander and roam
'cause I love my girl
Donna, where can you be? Where can you be?

Well, darlin', now that you're gone
I don't know what I'll do
All the time and all my love for yo-ou-ou

I had a girl
Donna was her name
Since she left me
I've never been the same
'cause I love my girl
Donna, where can you be? Where can you be?

Oh, Donna, Oh, Donna
Oh, Donna, Oh, Donna

:silly:

42. Hey rev...have you ever heard this one...
From the musical Hair...

Oh
Once upon a looking-for-Donna-time
There was a sixteen year old virgin
Oh Donna oh oh Donna oh oh oh
Looking for my Donna

I just got back from looking for Donna
San Francisco
Psychedelic urchin
Oh Donna oh oh Donna oh oh oh
Looking for my Donna

Have you seen
My sixteen year old tattooed woman
Heard a story
She got busted for her beauty oh oh oh
Oh oh!

Once upon a looking-for-Donna-time
There was a sixteen year old virgin
Oh Donna oh oh Donna oh oh oh
Looking for my Donna

I've been to India and saw the yogi light
In South America the Indian smoke glows bright
I'm reincarnated and so are we all
And in this lifetime we'll rise
Before we fall
Before we fall

Once upon a looking-for-Donna-time
There was a sixteen year old virgin
Oh Donna oh oh Donna oh oh oh
Looking for my Donna

And I'm going to show her
Life on earth can be sweet
Gonna lay my mutated head (self) at her feet
And I'm gonna love her make love to her
Till the sky turns brown
I'm evolving I'm evolving
Through the drugs
That you put down

Once upon a looking-for-Donna-time
There was a sixteen year old virgin
Oh Donna oh oh Donna oh oh oh
Looking for my Donna
Looking for my Donna

Donna!
