3. I would never have thought about it, if it weren't for Dean pushing |
|
the idea. He makes it sound like the hot thing to do. So it's crossed my mind.
Frankly, I'm a sore loser, and losing in such a public way might ruin my personality for several years.
And if I were to win, I'd have "cooperate" and "compromise" and all that jazz.
Eh... other people are probably better suited.

Obama or Durbin one day after they retire. Jersey? What a shithole state. "I'm from Jersey. hahahaha" Ugh (did that work?)
Big parts of Maine are super liberal and you can spend time in Acadia National Park.

It worked! I love that old SNL skit making fun of people from Jersey. Have you seen it?
I also remember a story some consultant told (maybe the guys who worked for Wellstone?) where they made a political ad about their Republican opponent who had been elected from another state before and was running for US Senate after moving to NJ. Anyway, the quote was this Republican running who had lived in several states saying that NJ was the greatest, most beautiful state he had ever lived in. After that clip the announcer said something like, "yeah right!" It attacked the guy for being fake and not being from NJ. The moral is, even people from NJ know their state kind of sucks. hehe You don't know the commercial or candidate I'm thinking of do you?

But lots of my fellow NJ chums on campus have a great love for NJ; we even have several campus clubs dedicated to our love of NJ =)

I will run for an office where ever I eventually settle down. Probably just small local office, but I am seriously trying to run within the next five years for something.

even on my worst day I could do better than those guys.
But there are a few skeletons...
Working in the sex industry, my time as a whore, the old drug dealing thing. Tough to make any of that look good to the general public. Actually, I think those things make me a better candidate and I won't lie or be a hypocrite about it.
Do I have your vote?
Khash.

18. Other................ |

I'd love to, but there are WAY too many skeletons in my closet. I SHOULD have done it when I was younger, instead of all those OTHER things I was doing.
People say I'm a natural born politician with a TON of charisma. I used that charisma a LOT in my younger days, but for all the wrong purposes.
Oh well, it's too late now. I really think I could have made a difference, but I was a little too wild back then so I'll never know. Nah, I'm OK with it. ;)

Usually it isn't a problem at all unless you have a criminal record. People who run for local office don't get examined as closely as people who run for President.
