If I use "thundervoice" is that violence? If I use "lightning glare" is that violence? Is it "violence" to threaten with a gun, or does it only become "violence" when the bullets or the fists fly? What about when cuss-words, or really-mean-things-to-say fly?
To quote the late Chris LeDoux:

and there are thin lines between aggression, intimidation and violence. Thundervoice is something that I use when one of my dogs is running wild. It was the only way I could get them to listen. It kinda reminds me of the Calvin and Hobbes where they start to go outside but they find a giant eyeball glaring at them, and Hobbes says "nobody gives the evil eye quite like your dad."
