I have a question for any of you computer afficianados:
I'm trying to find an online program (that you can access via the internet or download for free), that is much like SimpleText for Macintosh, a program in which you can type in text and a voice will sound it out, except I'm looking either for a SimpleText version for PC, or another PC-Based program in which one can do that.

I'd really appreciate it if anyone knows where I can find it. Thanks.:)

1. Text to speech
you can do samples here:

also try googling "text to speech" to find noncommercial products.

3. Easy Office..
It's pretty cheap, and the downloadable version is free. I think the free one still has voice, but the website isn't as clear a it used to be with the comparisons.

I've been using an older version for years, and it's not quite as good as they tout it to be (surprise, surprise) but the components I've used are rock solid. The word processor does choke on some graphics and formatting in Word docs, but they might have fixed that by now. Otherwise, it's a perfectly adequate text editor, and I use it a lot for quick&dirty when I don't need to crank up WordPerfect.
