1. It snowed in Miami in 1977
That was huge news. I was in fourth grade. I will never forget it.

2. Yes, on or about...
... Jan. 10, 1982, in the Florida panhandle and very lightly into the east central area.

It was hilarious. The temps got down to about ten degrees; the Pensacola area got about 3/4" of snow, and the city went crazy and spread a lot of red Florida clay all over the streets. There were more wrecks in the afternoon because of the mud, when the snow melted, than there were before they tried to fix the problem.
