|
Edited on Sun Mar-13-05 09:38 AM by Catch22Dem
Anyone know? How does it work? Where do the phones go? My wife said she thinks agencies like DVIS issues them to battered women as energency phones and stuff. Anyone? ON EDIT: Found a link: http://www.wirelessrecycling.com/home/index.html

1. Google "Hope Line Program" |
|
It's Verizon's deal.
You could also probably call a local battered women's shelter and ask.

2. Our local women's shelter will take cell phones. |
|
The YWCA manages the crisis shelter. I just drop the phone off there. You should just contact whichever agency and they will let you know what to do.

4. Be sure to clear your phone |
|
On some of phones you cannot clear incoming calls which may have family and friend phone numbers.
Also: the victim advocates at the local prosecutor's offices take them as well.
