What's the most unusual piece of furniture you can recall? |
|
I recall a 3 tier floor lamp - circa 1973. About 6' tall, it was chrome and had 3 lights that could be rotated to any direction. Each lamp had an octagonal transparent plastic shade: One in red, one in green, one in blue.
Those were the days. :-)

Had a small go-kart engine and a really narrow chassis mount on the bottom. If you hit the gas or breaks hard, or turned sharply it would tip right over. But, driven gently, was lethally fast.
I never got on the damn thing. Saw it at a local racetrack.

2. A telephone stand (back in the day) |
|
had a storage place for phone books and a seat attatched where one could sit while talking
Back then (in the 60s) you had to sit and chat because the phone had a cord
and a rotary dial too

I paid 30 bucks for it and put new cloth over the cushion, it is a cool piece of furniture.
