Gary Coleman to be political analyst on comedy radio network

Former childhood actor Gary Coleman didn't win California's recall election, but he'll still get a political platform on the new Hollywood-based All Comedy Radio network.

Coleman, 35, has been tapped to become the network's political analyst and said his experience as a candidate will come in handy in this new assignment.

He finished eighth out of 135 candidates vying to replace Gov. Gray Davis in last week's election, losing to fellow actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Among the topics Coleman will tackle will be the 2004 presidential election.

2. What did he run as? An independent?
As long as he takes on the Right then I say more power to him. We need more political humor out there. It helps me get through the tough days when everything is going to hell.

3. "Daily Show" - are you listening?
Coleman's actually with it. Articulate and a little smart. Jon Stewart should pick him up as an analyst on The Daily Show! Petition anyone?
