Oasis to play the Hollywood Bowl
Having recently sold out New York's Madison Square Garden in an hour as well as sellouts in other East Coast cities, Oasis turn their attention to America's West Coast by announcing their first headline Los Angeles show in over five years at the legendary Hollywood Bowl on Monday 12th September.

I don't think I've ever been to the Hollywood Bowl. Is it a fitting venue for their return to Los Angeles?

1. The last non-classical show there I went to was Morrissey
and that was ages ago. It wasn't bad ... the shell has been refurbished/updated over the past few years and that may have improved the acoustics, plus it's probably the largest "legendary" venue in L.A.

3. It is an awesome venue
Holds almost 20,000. All I've seen there is classical.

And the Beatles played there.

4. Intriguing.
Perhaps one of the remaining members of The Beatles will show up for a symbolic "torch-passing" ceremony, which will culminate in Oasis rising above the crowd on a suspended platform while the former great waves at them from below as they are parting. One can only dream.

5. Yes, but the Beatles still will have played there first.
:P

The Bowl is lovely. If you go, you'll have a fantastic time.
