4. I was just thinking about how I should find those earrings again. |
|
But I could only find one dangly peace sign and one post peace sign. And the days of me wearing non-matching earrings are over.

13. Maybe once my kid gets over his ear fetish. |
|
He loves to rub my ear lobes. I think I should wait until he gets over that before I get another piercing.

If you can keep it up and be disciplined every single day, it's one thing. But if you're like the majority of people who can't keep it going, don't even bother.
There are also a LOT of cheaper alternatives as well you can get. Try downloading the software for a couple of days and see if it's gonna grab your interest. And then go out and buy a small, inexpensive organizer from Target, which will do the same thing as the Franklin planner.
We got it free about 9 years ago from a company where I worked--it was $35 then, so I can imagine how much more expensive it is now. I think I used it for about 6 months, and then it joined the junk heap.

5. When the overtook my company, one guy kept missing the |

orientation. Eventually he felt like he was in the office version of Invastion of the Body Snatchers. Overnight, people would start mouthing the same catch phrases -- plan your work... work your plan...

Now that the Covey folk ("7 habits of highly successful people") have purchased the company.
I've tried the Franklin system off and on for the past ten years, with little major difference in my life. It's one of those things where you have to consciously think about devoting a 1/2 hour a day to it. Pretty soon you spend more time doing your Franklin than you do actual work.

12. If you're not willing to follow the program daily, |
|
you're better off getting a regular ol' planner at Staples. I used it for a while because a college internship sent me through the seminar. Not worth it, IMO.

and if I had paid for it myself, I'd have felt ripped off.
Wait a sec. Is this a copycat thread? Geez, you gotta take a look around the Lounge before posting when you first get in in the morning...

15. I just have a daily calendar where I write stuff down. |
|
Cost me $20 and I've been using it for like three years. If I didn't write stuff down I'd forget it. :)
fun thread, even if a copycat. :)
