Nero was quite intelligent en extremely cultured. In addition he supported the people instead of the upper classes.

Although probably corrupted by his power, he was in no way the monster the ancient historians proclaimed him to be. Ancient history is often propaganda and ancient historians were often aristocrats. That's why they depicted Nero, a peoples person, as a mad emperor.

may have had something to do with the fire that he did nit fiddle to, but sang (according to Tacitus) The Capture of Troy. And, due to the new land available, he was able to build his 'Domus Aurea (Golden Palace).

That faction is obviously wrong (Caraldini I believe). There's another that believes the Xtians actually did it, that would be nice for the comparison of Nero and Bush.
