RPG players: help me identify this die |
|
I bought a die at an antiques fair yesterday and can't figure out what it's for.
It's 32 sided with numbers 00, 0, and 1 through 30.
It's made of clear glass and is just under and inch across.
It's marked "MADE CZECHOSLOVAKIA."
I'd like to give it to my son, a D&D player, for his birthday but I'm not entirely sure it's for gaming. Anyone have a clue?
Sorry, no pic.

1. It sounds like a die for playing roulette. |

2. I didn't know dice were used to play roulette |
|
That it belonged to a casino game had never occured to me.

Except the "in" is missing from the "Made in Czechoslovakia."
Thanks. I don't think I would have figured out what it is without your help.
Wonder if it's any good for game playing. Well, he'll enjoy having it in his bag o' dice anyway.

5. Someone could probably use it for any number of things... |
|
I'd say it'd make a good die for a critical table.
00 = bad fumble 0 = fumble 1-30 = hit/miss 31 = critical 32 = good critical
Something like that. It may not have any purpose as far as official rules go, but making up rules in D&D is part of the fun.
Damn, I miss those days.
