1. Cute typo :)
I was a Holly Hobby girl, myself. I was a little too old for Strawberry Shortcake by the time she came along.

2. THAT's what those things were called
My sister was hugely into Holly Hobbys (-ies?). It always disturbed the heck out of me that you never saw her face.

I used to kid my little sister that if Holly Hobby ever turned around, all you'd see was A HUGE MOUTH AND JAGGED SHARK TEETH WHERE HER FACE SHOULD BE. This would usually have my sister crying and running to Mom.

Did you see her face?

14. Yes
She was very attractive. Worked on her house. Don't know if they still live there. I think she started the whole thing when her daughter was born.

7. I had a Hollie Hobbie bedspread and a Strawberry Shortcake birthday party
when I turned six. I was a fan of both. :D

10. I had the same bedspread -
and also loved Strawberry Shortcake. :) Seems like I had a SS birthday party too - but the memory isn't solid enough for me to commit to it.

9. I love Miffy!

Nijntje aka Miffy was obviously the inspiration for Hello Kitty.

11. My stepfather made me dress up as Holly Hobby when I was 5 or 6
for Halloween because he caught me playing dress up with my older sisters the week before (was supposed to be the wolfman!). I got seperated from my sibs out trick or treating. Some other kids saw me wandering around and eventually got me home. Where they presented me proudly to my stepdad by saying "we found your little girl" followed by "she is such a sweetie" (or some such compliment)... He thought he was punishing this little boy and instead he created, well... something else!! lol...

I loved Strawberry Shortcake as well, I just wanted to eat her and her friends all the time. She may have had a large effect on me and my lusty desire of all redheads! Yummy!
